San Jose Semi-Finals Champion & 2003 Oakland Finalist,
2004 San Jose Semi-Finalist, 2004 Palo Alto Grand Slam Champion. A member
of Team San Jose 2003, which took 2nd place at the Western Regional Championship
at Big Sur, and went on to take 13th place out of 68 national teams during
2003 Nationals. A socio-political story teller, Lee has
been reading on open mic for the last 7 years, and featured in Cambridge,
Massachusetts, Las Vegas, Nevada, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Jose and
Berkeley, California. His work has been published in: River Run 2003,
the Annual Arts Journal of the University of Colorado Springs; the 2003
Survival of the Ill List Anthology; the 2004 European Poets Anthology;
and the 2004 German Poets Anthology. His poetry can be seen on the Survival
of the Ill List DVD and the War of the Words DVD.
Lee toured Europe as a poet for 40 days and was the first American poet
to qualify for the Duesseldorf Team Poetry Finals in 2004. He formed and
coached Palo Alto's first Slam Poetry Team in 2004 (which ranked 23rd
in the country)
and is currently the Slam Master for Palo Alto Poetry Slam.
Lee's style has been described as 'Chuck D reading Noam Chomsky.
